June is Pride Month, and the Fall River Pride Committee has set aside events to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, beginning with the sixth annual Pride Festival this Sunday from noon to 4 pm at the Gates of the City.
Later in the month, the committee will host two proms for adults and youth.
Connell says the threats by the Trump Administration to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion programs across the country are contrary to the American ideal that all are created equal.
Connell says Massachusetts and Fall River are leaders in promoting diversity, and all are welcome to celebrate everyone’s differences.
