Fall River’s Department of Community Maintenance continues to work on underground construction in the city’s downtown area near Government Center and North Main Street. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes, especially during rush hour. According to DCM Spokesman John Perry, crews will be working in that area over the next couple of weeks, and reminds residents that the parking lot near the main post office is still closed. The work is being done in connection with the ongoing streetscape improvement project that Mayor Jasiel Correia is overseeing at this time.
