Fall River police continue to investigate a report of a home invasion Sunday night that involved a A 71 year old Niagara neighborhood woman. The resident lives on Congress Street. According to Police Lt. Ronald Furtado, the victim heard noises coming from her bedroom, and when she went to investigate, she saw a man she did not know standing in the room. The intruder then took out what the woman believed to be a BB gun and demanded money, before taking the woman’s purse and fleeing the premises.
The suspect is described as a young black man, in his late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds.
