Fall River Major Crimes detectives continue to investigate a report of gunfire from a city dwelling just after midnight on Wednesday, February 6th.
Officer Maria Correia along with several other officers were sent to the scene when there were reports from several occupants of the dwelling who said they were woken up by what sounded like a loud bang.
When officers were dispatched to the scene they found no shooter or anyone reported injured in the incident; however, the officers noted damage to a window and ceiling of the apartment consistent with a projectile. The occupants of the dwelling did not see or hear anyone entering or leaving residence.
