A tentative trial date is scheduled for today, October 31st for a Fall River woman charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 53 year old man last year.
Adrienne A. Brown is alleged to have stabbed Brian Jones to death last year at 477 Third Street following an argument between the two on May 30th 2015.
Last summer, Brown entered a “Not Guilty” plea at her Fall River Superior Court arraignment after her defense attorney told the court that witness statements indicate Jones had been drinking alcohol on that day, and allegedly threatened the victim’s 19 year old daughter during an earlier argument over $50 dollars her father may have owed her.
Fall River police officers who responded to the 911 call last May discovered Jones lying on the street, suffering from apparent stab wounds to his torso. Jones was rushed to Saint Anne’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Prosecutors said Brown was sought by state and local police for two days before she turned herself in to Fall River police on the morning of June 1, 2015. Doolin said she called him the day before and willingly turned herself in.
