A 43 year old Fall River man has been identified as the victim of a fatal car accident Monday night on Cross Road in Dartmouth, according to police.
The victim has been identified as Robert Heroux who lived on Sherman Street. He was the sole occupant in a 2014 Ford F350 pickup truck that struck a utility pole and a stone wall in the area of 413 Cross Street about 9:00 p.m.
A hydraulic extrication device had to be used to remove the driver from the wreckage.
The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation by Dartmouth and state police.
