As the weather warms, more homeless individuals are comfortable creating outdoor encampments as their home base. The City of Fall River continues to assist these individuals to get the help they need.
Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan says in the last few days, the city’s street outreach team and local health care officials met with individuals at encampments along Interstate 195 near the Quequechan River Rail Trail alerting them of the need to clean out the area.
A similar operation is taking place at encampments along Brayton Avenue.
