The Fall River Disability Commission will host a Disability Awareness Day for adults and children from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, at Kuss Middle School, 52 Globe Mills Avenue, Fall River. Please note: This date is a correction to our previous story about the event.
At the event, the Commission and other participating organizations will educate about disability and provide information about resources available to individuals with disabilities. The day will include:
- Resource tables for adults and children
- A children’s music activity with Balanced Learning Center
- A performance and photos with the “Princesses of New Bedford” from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m.
- Free pizza and beverages
- Free treats for children at each resource table
The Fall River Disability Commission works to promote the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the community’s daily activities, services, and employment opportunities.
