Fall River Community Media (FRCMedia) is joining news groups, journalists, and media centers across the United States to serve as a partnering organization for Free Speech Week 2018.
Created in 2005, Free Speech Week (FSW) is a yearly event to raise public awareness of the importance of freedom of speech and of the press. “As freedom of speech and of the press are rights all Americans share, this non-partisan, non-ideological event is intended to be a unifying celebration,” says the FSW web site.
Free Speech Week takes place during the third full week of October annually. This year it will be observed October 22-28, 2018.
