The Fall River Charter Commission plans to discuss a key element tonight that would affect the way the City Charter reads if voters so choose.
According to Chairperson Mike Miozza, the commission plans to compare and contrast a mayoral form of government versus a city council manager form of Government.
“We will be looking at the differences between the two forms. There are pros and cons of each type,” Miozza tells frmedianews.org. “At our meeting this evening we will present factual information on both types of government from our three consultants from UMass Boston.”
No decision is expected at the regular meeting tonight, Monday, March 14th. The session will be held at the City Council Chambers at Government Center beginning at 6:00 p.m. The public is urged to attend.
