The sixth edition of the Fabric Arts Festival begins Thursday, October 9th, and runs through Sunday, October 12th.
Co-founder Michael Benevides says the focus of the event is to produce Portuguese cultural content that is outside the box.
The festival began with all events taking place in Fall River. It is now co-hosted at spaces in Fall River, Providence, and East Providence, Rhode Island.
Some events at the festival require a paid ticket, with many of the art installations free of charge. A complete schedule and list of events can be found on the festival’s website. One free event takes place on Sunday outdoors at Fall River’s Copicut Woods.
