Winter in Southern New England is the focus of Westport Art Group’s upcoming exhibit “Local Winter Scenes.” Images in the show include “everything from mittens drying on a radiator, to downhill skiing, shoveling-out cars, and landscapes in winter garb,” according to the gallery.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, January 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The exhibit will be open from January 12 to January 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.  There is no charge for admission.

Founded in 1955, Westport Art Group, a nonprofit, is located at 1740 Main Road, Westport Point. It has close to 250 members from and offers adult and youth art classes and events throughout the year.  Click here for more information:
