WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE LIBRARY?
Here are some of the exciting events for kids, teens, and adults happening at the Fall River Public Library the week of July 19-23.
Tuesday, July 20, at 6 pm, it’s fun for all ages with the Flying High Frisbee Dogs, who will perform at Fall River Heritage State Park. This
free program is open to all and is sponsored by a grant from the Fall River Women’s Union.
Wednesday, July 21 is the day for book lovers! Readers can choose from not one but two book clubs: the Books and Tea Group at 2 pm or the Library
Book Club at 6 pm. We also have a virtual program for kids at 3 pm, “Meet an Elephant!” This online program, presented through the Dighton Public
Library and co-sponsored by the Southcoast Six Libraries, lets kids ‘meet’ Ruth and Emily, elephants at the Buttonwood Park Zoo, and the zookeepers who
take care of them. Wednesday is also the day for two teen programs: our Magic: the Gathering group at 5 pm (in the library) and our Dungeons &
Dragons group (online) at 6 pm.
On Thursday, July 22, at 11 am, we’ve got a free family concert starring award-winning musicians Vanessa & the Jumping Monkeys! This outdoor
event is sponsored by Debby and Richard Danner. Also on Thursday, our teen Dungeons & Dragons group (yes, we have two!) meets online at 6 pm.
On Friday, July 23, at 11 am, children can meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse on the library lawn! Mickey and Minnie will greet fans and pose for pictures
from 11-12. Kids can also pick up a craft to take home and register to win a basket of Disney books and other goodies.
