Here are the events coming up at the Fall River Public Library beginning April 1:

Monday, April 1: Ukulele Club, 6 pm. Bring your ukulele and join us in strumming along! Beginners invited; a few ukuleles are available on a first come, first served basis. Kids accompanied by adults are welcome.

Tuesday, April 2: Signup for Jewelry Making Workshop, 10 am. Registration for the April 23 Jewelry Making Workshop begins today at 10 am. (The workshop itself is on Tuesday, April 23 at 6 pm.) Stephanie Enloe of the Craftyish Shop will lead participants in creating their own unique beaded jewelry. Please call the Adult Circulation Desk to register: 508-324-2700, ext. 2.

Preschool Storytime, 11 am. Preschoolers and caregivers are invited to our weekly storytime featuring a selection of seasonal stories, a craft, and group activities.

Wednesday, April 3: Play & Learn, 10 am. This 5-and-under group meets weekly for a story, circle time songs, and finger plays. To register your child, please contact Miss Shannon at sdunbar@fallriverschools.org.

Thursday, April 4: Yarn Crafting for a Cause, 1 pm. All knitters and crocheters welcome! Help us knit warm garments to be donated to the homeless. Yarn is supplied.

Saturday, April 6: Chess Club, 12:30 pm. Chess players of all levels are invited to meet up for a game in the Fell Reading Room.

Mark Berger Performs RIDE, 1 pm, Meeting Room. Musician Mark Berger performs music from his acclaimed album RIDE, exploring the myths, landscapes, and people of the American West. Marc Berger has performed at Austin’s South by Southwest Music Festival and The Kerrville and Falcon Ridge Folk Festivals and has opened shows for Bob Dylan and other national acts. Critics praised his album RIDE: “Reads like a love letter to the American West … one part Springsteen and one part Dylan, but with pure charisma that is all Berger.”
