Here is what’s happening at the Fall River Public Library this coming week.

From the Fall River Public Library

Starting on Monday, August 2, kids can pick up an Emoji Flower Pot Craft in the Children’s Room. These fun flower pots come with acrylic paint so kids can decorate them however they like. They will be available all week or while supplies last.

On Tuesday, August 3, at 11 am, children are invited to enjoy a storytime in our outdoor Story Tent! “Stories on the Lawn” are held every Tuesday morning at 11 in our tent.

Then, on Wednesday, August 4, also at 11 am, join us for a free family performance by Margaret Moody and her puppets! She will present “Badger Meets the Fairies,” an original story based on European fairy lore. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Rotary Club of Fall River. Two teen programs will finish out the day: our Magic: the Gathering group at 5 pm (in the library) and our Dungeons & Dragons group (online) at 6 pm.

On Thursday, August 5, at 6 pm, the library hosts “What’s It Worth?”, a virtual antique appraisal program with author, auctioneer, appraiser and radio show host Mike Ivankovich. Mike will offer an overview of antiques and talk about “10 Factors That Will Always Impact the Value of Your Treasures.” Participants should have 1-2 antique or collectible items ready for Mike to appraise (we recommend having a backup in case Mike is unable to see the item clearly online). Pre-registration is required for this event. Please register at tinyurl.com/FRPLWIW. A Zoom link will be emailed to all registrants before the program.
