Here are the latest events at the Fall River Public Library.

This Week at the Library –October 19-October 23

Getting into the Halloween spirit? This week at the Fall River Public Library, we’ve got a fun Halloween-themed curbside craft for kids, a Black Cat Glitter Ornament. Kids can pick these up at the Main Library by calling 508-324-2700, ext. 4, or at the South Branch by calling 508-324-2708. Crafts are available while supplies last. Some crafts from past weeks may still be available.

If you haven’t yet seen it, head over to YouTube to watch the library’s new Halloween show, “A Ghostly Gathering at the Haunted Library!” You can see it at https://youtu.be/KaLfC5oQBKQ.

Teens are invited to join an online multiplayer game of Splatoon 2 on Wednesday, October 21 at 5 pm. To sign up, email Taylor at tsilva@sailsinc.org or call 508-324-2700, ext. 123. All participants must own their own copy of Splatoon 2, with an internet connection. Participants are also invited to join our Game Night Discord server, which will be provided after contacting Taylor!

Halloween isn’t just for kids, and we’ve got an adult curbside craft this week as well! Call 508-324-2700, ext. 2, to reserve your Halloween Tea Light Jar craft, available while supplies last. Limit: one per person.

You can also plan a visit to the library to check out our Halloween displays and our new books and movies for adults, teens, and kids. Visits are available by appointment (walk-ins accepted only if there is room). To schedule your visit, call 508-324-2700. Choose extension 2 to schedule a visit to the main level to look for adult and young adult material, extension 3 to visit the reference room for research and tech help, and extension 4 for the children’s room. For the South Branch, call 508-324-2708, and remember that the Main Library is open until 7 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the South Branch is open until 7 pm on Wednesdays.
