Here’s what’s happening at the Fall River Public Library in the next two weeks:
Children’s Events
Starting Monday, November 16: Turkey Curbside Craft, available at Main Library (call 508-324-2700, ext. 4, or 508-324-2708 to reserve craft and choose pickup time). Available through November 25 or while supplies last.
Starting Monday, November 16: Free Thanksgiving Books. Children can choose one of six Thanksgiving books to keep. Call 508-324-2700, ext. 4, or 508-324-2708 (South Branch) to arrange a time to pick up your books. Available while supplies last. Limit: one book per child.
Curbside Crafts and Thanksgiving books are made possible through a generous donation from Debby and Richard Danner.
Teen Events
Wednesday, November 18, 3 pm: FRPL Gaming Stream on Twitch. Online gaming and live chat. Join at https://www.twitch.tv/frplgaminglibrarian.
Wednesday, November 25, 4 pm: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Tournament, co-hosted by One Up Games. Tournament will be capped at 16 players, so sign up early! To register, call Taylor at 508-324-2700, ext. 123, or email tsilva@sailsinc.org.
Adult Events
Tuesday, November 17, 11 am: Cookbook Club online meetup with five local libraries. Featured cookbooks are The Apple Cookbook and Purely Pumpkin. Register at Register at bit.ly/vcbclub and you will receive a link to the online meeting. (more)

Wednesday, November 18, 6:30 pm: Spindle City Book Chat, co-sponsored by Somerset Public Library. Online author reading and discussion of Spindle City by Jotham Burrello. Thursday, November 19, 6:30 pm: Immigration Law Information Session, co-sponsored by the University of Massachusetts School of Law Immigration Law Clinic. Learn about recent changes to immigration law and how they may affect citizenship applications. Holiday Hours
The library will be closed on Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will re-open at 9 am on Monday, November 30.
