The Fall River City Council meets in regular session tonight for the last time in 2016. Items on the agenda:
- A request from Mayor Jasiel Correia II to vote for an amnesty this week from use of purple bags.
- A request by Administrator of Public Utilities Terry Sullivan for a $123 million dollar bond to be put before voters for a major project to rehabilitate the city wastewater treatment system.
The City Council Finance Committee meets first at 6:00 p.m., followed by the full council meeting at 7:00 p.m. Of course the meeting is open to the public at the City Council Hearing room at Government Center.
