Fall River residents wishing to run for the positions of mayor, city council, and school committee can fill out the proper paper work at the Board of Elections office at Government Center beginning today, Tuesday, April 25th. According to Board of Elections Chairperson Liz Camara, papers from interested parties, including incumbents, can be picked up in person, and are not available online.
If a potential candidate wants to send someone to pick up the paperwork for him or her, then a form authorizing the person to do so must be completed first. The authorized person will also be required to show proof of identification before taking the papers out. Again, that authorization form is available in Camara’s office. The deadline to fill out the proper paperwork is Friday, July 21st, with the forms submitted by Tuesday, July 25th.
