Following renovations to the field house at BMC Durfee High School, the basketball court was re-dedicated this week to legendary former boys basketball coach Thomas “Skip” Karam.
Karam amassed 659 wins coaching the Hilltoppers over 36 years. He led the team to multiple state championships and is a member of the Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the New England Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame.
During a re-dedication ceremony prior to Durfee’s basketball game against Taunton on Tuesday, Karam reflected upon his time leading the Hilltoppers.
