The Fall River Committee of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity was created by Mayor Paul E. In addition to the survey, the Fall River Committee of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity will serve as a liaison for city administrators and strengthen the connection between leadership and the diverse communities of Fall River.

In celebration of Black History Month, the committee in collaboration with Mayor Coogan, hosted an M.L.K. Essay Contest and created a Business Spotlight highlighting black business in the City of Fall River. Other previous activities included The Proclamation of Juneteenth, Hispanic Heritage Month and a community roundtable to discuss matters of diversity and inclusion.
