Sources say that the Director of the Marine Museum on Fall River’s waterfront has resigned.
FRC Media News has learned that Maria Vann, who has been in that post for about two years, resigned last month. She came to Fall River to head the waterfront attraction from her home town in New York State. Vann was in charge of revamping the museum upon hire, and was instrumental in setting up audio devices inside the building for visitors to ‘listen’ to stories involving historical waterfront events.
Recently, the Marine Museum and Battleship Cove merged. Executive Director of Battleship Cove John McDonagh is now in charge of the museum located at 5 Water Street.
