The Diman Regional Regional Vocational Technical High School School committee has set March 14 as the date masks will no longer be required by students and staff.
Here is the letter advising parents of the lifting of the mask mandate:
Dear Members of the Diman Community,
At its February 10, 2022 meeting, the Greater Fall River Vocational School Committee reviewed the memorandum sent by Commissioner Jeff Riley on February 9, 2022, regarding the mask mandate in schools. To that end, the Greater Fall River Vocational School Committee voted to keep the mask mandate in place for all students and staff members through March 11, 2022. Effective March 14, 2022, masks in school will be optional. Masks will continue to be required on school buses per federal law.
Understanding this point, it will be critical to ensure anyone who chooses to continue to wear a mask after March 14, 2022 do so without harassment or judgment. These matters are very personal and we will continue to allow individuals to make these decisions without fear of retribution or embarrassment.
We thank you for your support as we continue to take steps necessary to keep all Diman Community Members safe during these difficult times.
