Like other local educational institutions, Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School had to overcome the challenges that come with remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Assistant Superintendent/Principal Andrew Rebello says even before the pandemic the school was prepared to have students learn remotely in the event of an emergency. He says when remote learning began March 17, all students had the tools needed to succeed. A big challenge came in the teaching of the technical trades, which constitutes half of the students’ learning.
Rebello says as with other high schools, Diman is looking to make the most for those in the Class of 2020.
Rebello says the school is coming up with multiple options on how it will handle classes when they resume in September. Diman’s last day of school this academic year is June 19.
