Here is the announcement from Diman Assistant Superintendent/Principal Andrew Rebello:
Congratulations, Diman Community! For the second time in school history, Diman has been badged and awarded by the U.S. News and World Report as one of the best high schools in the nation!
Diman being named one of the best high schools in the nation is a testament to the fortitude and focus of students, teachers, school and district leaders, support staff, and every member of Diman Regional. This award reflects the work ethic of a group of talented professionals I consider the best in the nation – our teachers and staff. They believe in every student’s ability, potential, and learning capacity.
Students and families should be proud of their hard work. The perseverance and determination to meet our high standards from our students and parents made achieving this award possible.
Diman ranks:
• #19 best school in Providence, RI Metro Area High Schools (95 total schools)
• Top 37% in the nation
• Graduation Rate: 98%
This award justifies what our community has come to know. Diman is a world-class educational institution that provides incredible opportunities. Our focus on providing students with academic, vocational, and socio-emotional growth will not change. Diman remains committed and will not waver from being the school system our community, state, and nation need us to be – a school that produces life-ready graduates prepared to shape the future and the world positively.
Being named one of the nation’s best high schools is an incredible honor. I am proud to be your Assistant Superintendent/Principal. I am proud to be a Diman Bengal. Once a Diman Bengal, always a Diman Bengal.
