August 28, 2026…That’s the anticipated opening of the new Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. This week, were toured the facility on Stoehaven Road to get a progress report on meeting that deadline.
Mr. Bentley says the 2025-2026 school year will be one of transition for students, teachers, and staff.
Even though teachers will not be in their new space for another year, they have been given access to plan ahead.
The $305 million project is being financed through state school building assistance funding and assessments to the four communities served by the school…Fall River, Somerset, Swansea, and Westport.
Fall River’s payment toward the construction of the new school is just over $100 million. 76 percent of Diman students reside in Fall River.
