A design proposal that will give the waterfront area in Fall River a facelift and connect that area of the city to downtown as part of a urban renewal plan, was unveiled today, May 23rd. At a news conference held at the Atrium in Government Center, Mayor Jasiel Correia had photographs and descriptions of the proposed project up for public viewing – documents that will stay posted there for the next two weeks. The proposed plan was designed with the help of Harriman, a Boston-based consultant firm. Senior Urban Planner Emily Innes offered some insight into what the proposed project is all about:
