A panel discussion titled “Building A Respectful Community: Perspectives on Reducing Hate Crimes in Fall River” will take place live on Facebook on Wednesday, March 27, at 10:00 a.m.

The Herald News and Fall River Community Media are cohosting the event in response to the recent desecration of close to 60 graves at The Hebrew Cemetery in Fall River, and it will be streamed live on both organizations’ Facebook pages.

Three leaders in the local Jewish community — Cantor Shoshana Brown and Rabbi Mark Elber of Temple Beth El and Dr. Ron Weisberger, the director of The Holocaust Center at Bristol Community College — will be the panelists.  Keith Thibault, the director of Fall River Community Media, and Amanda Burke of The Herald News will be the moderators.

A replay of the discussion will be broadcast on Thursday, March 28 at 8:00 p.m. on Comcast Channel 95.
