The Creative Arts Network (CAN) and Battleship Cove have come up with a series of family-filled events for Veterans Day this Wednesday,

FALL RIVER – Veterans Day at Battleship Cove Creative Arts Network Inc. (CAN) and Battleship Cove honor all veterans – living and deceased – who have served our country for their service and sacrifice. In these difficult pandemic times with social and economic hardship, we hold to the values of service and support, the power of unity, and the legacy of “we are one” that have made this country strong. What better way to come together than joining in rousing, inspiring music performed by our local artists?
As part of this year’s Veterans Day Parade, Battleship Cove and CAN will observe Veterans Day Wednesday, November 11, 2020, 9 am to 5 pm at Battleship Cove.
CAN will be sponsoring FREE live music on the grounds of Battleship Cove with the theme of “We Are One” from 11 am to 4 pm. The music will feature local musicians Al Deston III, Lou Leeman & Mike Crowley, Tom & Charlene Khoury, and Giulia & Jhanna Khoury performing popular songs of patriotism, America, 40’s and just fun upbeat tunes.
Battleship Cove will offer FREE admission for veterans, active military, guard, and reserve personnel. The Vietnam Veterans Wall Committee will be accepting non-perishable food donations on behalf of the Fall River War Veterans Council, and Operation Military Smiles through a partnership with Military Friends will be accepting monetary donations or toy donations for the children of our fallen soldiers. The Niagara Neighborhood Association will be handing out care packages that include practical items as well as other resources for veterans and New England Wings Aerial Photography will have photographs available for sale.
A hot dog, chips, and beverage combo will be available for purchase along with a free cookie (while supplies last).
