Late this afternoon City Councilor Joe Camara obtained nomination papers to run for Mayor in the March 12th recall election.
Councilor Camara’s entry in the field now brings to eight the number of those to indicate interest in running in the election, joining Mayor Jasiel Correia, School Committeeman Paul Coogan, former city councilor and school committeeman Kyle Riley, former councilor Dan Rego, and residents Luis Cabral, Aaron Ferreira, and Ronald Gagnon.
Candidates have until January 17th at 5:00 pm to take out nomination papers and until January 22nd at 5:00 pm to return them for certification to the Elections Office.
