During the next Fall River City Council meeting, President Cliff Ponte will ask for the ‘Temporary Removal’ of Mayor Jasiel Correia. Ponte wants the mayor to be temporarily removed from the city’s top post because of Correia’s second arrest late last week on eleven (11) federal indictments – including extortion and bribery – bringing the total number of charges against him to twenty four (24).
