According to a report by the Fall River Herald News this week, Gen Andrade, a Somerset resident, has signed a one year contract for the position of Chief of Staff for Mayor Jasiel Correia II. The article states that Andrade will receive a $78 thousand 780 dollar salary, which began at the end of November and is good until December 31st, 2018. The just over one page contract does not outline her duties, but does say she is in a position of ‘trust and confidentiality’ in matters regarding the mayor’s bidding.
Andrade will not be taking health care benefits, but is entitled to travel reimbursements and other expenses, three weeks vacation, and sick time. The Fall River Herald News article goes on to state that Andrade is in “general charge” of the mayor’s office, and that Correia did not make a formal announcement of her appointment; rather Andrade announced her new position on Facebook.
