The Fall River Museum of Contemporary Art (FRMoCA) began nearly four years ago to connect the city’s history with modern creative expression.

The museum is housed within the former American Wallpaper and Design Center on Troy Street. Along with hosting exhibitions of contemporary artists, it also connects city residents to art through free educational seminars.

FRMoCA has partnered with UMass Dartmouth to host art workshops each semester for students from Durfee High School enrolled in the university’s Early College Program. The museum is conducting an 8-week summer residency focused on apparel design with four Durfee students.

The museum’s current exhibit, Another Dimension, opened last week and runs through September 15th.

The exhibit is open Friday through Sunday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

FRMoCA this summer will also be working with the City of Fall River’s Adirondack Farm to continue its native pollinator garden project with the planting of a donation
from American Beauties Native Plants and Prides Corner Farms.
