Get ready for an out-of-this-world experience as the Fall River Public Library hosts its fifth annual COMIC-CON on Saturday, May 27 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The library is thrilled to host this popular event, featuring comic book and sci-fi characters, crafts, games, displays, a costume contest, a scavenger hunt, and raffle! And, of course, we’ll have special guests, including Superman, Captain America, The Mandalorian, Deadpool, Rogue, Gamora, Dave the Minion, a (larger than) life-size sculpture of GROOT from Guardians of the Galaxy, and more! This family-friendly event is FREE and open to all ages.
The day’s highlights include:
- Take a picture with Groot!
- Guardians of the Galaxy Scavenger Hunt: Find all five characters hidden in the library to win a prize
- Grow-A-Groot!: A craft and seed planting activity
- Superhero Henna: For teens and adults
- Costume Contest: For kids and teens!
Plus face painting, a super raffle, craft tables, and the chance to meet your favorite comic book, fantasy, and sci-fi superheroes.
The festivities will take place on the library lawn. You’ll also want to check out the giant-size sculpture of GROOT in the main lobby of the library! Fans are encouraged to attend in costume, and our contest will offer prizes for both child and teen costumes.
