Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, many local recreational activities were restricted at city parks. One that is returning for city youth is the use of local basketball courts.
From the City of Fall River
The City of Fall River and the Department of Community Maintenance will be putting the rims back up at the city’s basketball courts starting Monday, July 13th. We understand that the basketball courts serve an important role in the city, especially in the lives of our young people. Having clean, safe parks where residents can be active is beneficial to our community in many ways.
Although the rims will be re-installed, we urge players to be cautious and engage in social distancing as much as possible. Players should engage in non-contact drills, sanitize and limit physical contact whenever possible. We do understand that basketball games involve a lot of physical contact and hope all players practice as many safety procedures as possible.
When will all be put back?
