At a joint meeting of the City Council and School Committee Tuesday night, members of the Coogan Administration provided a first look at the city’s FY 2024 budget.
Although not yet finalized, the city is planning to send the council a budget of over $350 million dollars, an 8% increase over FY 2023. City Director of Financial Services Bridget Almon took time to spotlight the challenges and opportunities facing the administration this coming fiscal year.
Ms. Almon also outlined the priorities in formulating the next city budget.
Mayor Paul Coogan will likely present a final budget document to the council sometime early next month.
