The City of Fall River is once again sponsoring events along the waterfront on Independence Day in advance of the holiday fireworks presentation.

(FALL RIVER, MA- June 23, 2022)- Mayor Coogan is pleased to announce additional programming for the City of Fall River’s July Fourth fireworks display, planned for the evening of Monday, July 4th, 2022. The fireworks over the Taunton River, which will begin around 9/9:30pm, will be preceded by music and food trucks at Heritage State and Bicentennial Parks. Heritage State Park Meadow:
DJ set from 5pm-9pm
Food trucks (located along Heritage State bike path):

  • Green Jar Cocina
  • Friskie Fries
  • Red’s RI
  • Black Dog Donuts
  • Gnarly Vines Farm
  • Del’s Lemonade (located near the sailing center)

Veterans Memorial Bicentennial Park:
Sunset concert with the Saint Cecilia Band Club, a 30-piece band performing patriotic favorites. Performance will run from 7:30pm-9pm in front of the Iwo Jima Monument. Fall River vendor Nonno’s Ice Cream Shoppe will be selling their homemade ice cream and Italian ice at Bicentennial Park.

The following morning, Tuesday, July 5th, the Mayor’s Office will lead a volunteer clean-up around the waterfront. Volunteers should meet outside the Heritage Park Visitors Center at 10am
where tools and supplies will be available.
