The city of Fall River and the Fall River Redevelopment Authority cut the ribbon last weekend on the opening of the docks alongside the Thomas Norton City Pier.
The event coincided with the first event at the pier this season, a concert, food trucks and other activities called Rock the Dock.
Mayor Paul Coogan says the dock along the pier provides another access point for residents and visitors to tour Fall River’s waterfront.
The Redevelopment Authority received money from the state to help construct the dock. State Representative Carole Fiola says as the waterfront evolves, the vision for Fall River becomes clearer.
