The City of Fall River is sponsoring a series of events this weekend to get more residents to take part in the 2020 U.S. Census.
The city was given a grant from the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s Office to promote participation locally. A group of students has been canvassing the city sharing information on the importance of the Census and allowing people to take part on the spot. Kyle Neves says this weekend the city is organizing a series of events to gather people together for a purpose while also encouraging more to complete the census.
Neves also says the participation rate in Fall River has been below expectations but the numbers have improved.
