City of Fall River Launches New Website
(FALL RIVER, MA- OCTOBER 30, 2023)- The City of Fall River is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new official website accessible at fallriverma.gov. The website was launched on October 20th, 2023, at 10 a.m. EST. Along with the contemporary City of Fall River logo launched earlier this year, the enhanced website is a continuation of a municipal branding campaign aimed at improving access to information for the residents of the City of Fall River.
The goal of the City of Fall River website is to serve as a digital version of City Hall that enhances convenience for residents, businesses, and visitors. The website was designed with a focus on improved functionality, visual aesthetics, and accessible information. Among its key features are:
· Comprehensive information: The website provides the public with important information about the City of Fall River and the departments within Government Center.
· Online Services: Residents can easily access online payment portals, forms, and permits through the quick links on the website.
· City Calendar: There are city calendars present on the homepage of the website that allow residents to stay up to date with what is happening in the city from fun events to civic meetings.
· Engaging Content: The website will feature content centered around the City of Fall River such as featured news articles, press releases, visual photos, and videos.
· Translation Feature: Located on the top bar of the homepage, there is a ‘translate’ featured button that allows users to translate the website into approximately 80 different languages.
The City of Fall River’s enhanced website was created by municipal website design company, Revize. Revize has over 1,600 government clients worldwide and has experience in municipal branding. The website design was a collaborative effort between Revize, the City of Fall River’s Information Technology Department, and Solmos Creative, a local creative agency.
“We wanted to build a modern-day website that can be used for years to come and that is user-friendly and easy for residents to access information. By working with the ARPA Committee, we were able to use ARPA funding to make sure the website was designed to be convenient for residents of Fall River,” says Mayor Paul Coogan.
This modern-day website is a tool for building a stronger sense of community, and it is important that continuous updates be made to the website. The City of Fall River’s Information Technology Department will continue to edit and add content to the new site. Residents are encouraged to view the new City of Fall River website at fallriverma.gov and make the most of this valuable community resource.
