The Fall River City Council will hold a special meeting tomorrow evening for the purposes of setting the real estate tax rates for the fiscal year.
The council will hold a public hearing on the matter at 5:55 p.m. followed by a special meeting to vote on the tax classification. The council has the authority to shift the tax burden away from homeowners to local businesses to meet the local revenue needs of the city.
