The Fall River City Council plans to meet in Executive Session Tonight to review the status of litigation members recently took against Mayor Jasiel Correia. The council voted 8-1 to remove Correia temporarily from office in light of the 24 federal indictments lodged against him, including bribery, wire fraud, and filing false tax returns, to name a few. The mayor has since refused to step down, so the council has taken legal action to force the issue. Before the council meets behind closed doors to review the status of litigation against the mayor, a Citizens Input session will take place first starting at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the the City Council Chamber at One Government Center.
