The Fall River City Council Committee on Ordinances and Legislation meets tonight at Government Center. Up for discussion: Mayor Jasiel Correia II’s request for department head title changes and salary increases to align with his upcoming proposed budget. Any changes, which are reflective of items in the upcoming fiscal 2018 budget, will require approval from the full council to alter the city ordinances that govern salaries and positions.
For example, in the Emergency Medical Services division, the title of supervisor of Emergency Medical Services/Director of Emergency Medical Services would change to Director of Emergency Medical Services with a salary increase from $74,231 annually to $108,000 a year. Other title and salary changes will also be discussed at tonight’s session.
The committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Government Center.
