The Fall River City Council tonight did not vote to remove Mayor Jasiel Correia from office in light of the federal charges against him. On three votes to relieve the mayor of his duties, Councilor Steven Camara used a procedural tactic to delay a vote to the next meeting. The three motions will now be taken up at the council ‘s next meeting scheduled for next Tuesday.
