The City of Fall River has released the following information regarding the winter storm that is slated to intensify tonight.

(FALL RIVER, MA- March 13, 2023)- On Monday, March 13th, the First Baptist Church, located at 228 North Main Street in Fall River, will open at 8:00pm through 8:00am Tuesday morning, to provide overnight shelter for residents of the City.
On Tuesday, March 14th, Pope Francis Outreach Center, Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 South Main Street, will be providing a warming center from 8:00am – 4:30pm for anyone in need.
Residents may drop in without calling.
Following this, Tuesday evening the First Baptist Church, 228 North Main Street, will again reopen their doors at 4:30pm for a meal and overnight shelter.
Anyone in need of assistance is urged to call the 24-hour homeless hotline number for shelter needs at 508-676-3528. Street outreach workers from the City of Fall River will be on hand to assist with transportation needs.
The City also continues to monitor the forecast for potential snow arriving tomorrow afternoon into Wednesday. The City’s Department of Community Maintenance is preparing for potential snowfall as well as high winds. Residents are asked to check City social media pages (@CityofFallRiver on Facebook and Instagram) for updates on parking bans or closures.
