A Fall River holiday tradition continues this Saturday as the 38th Annual Fall River Children’s Holiday parade steps off downtown.
Greater Fall River RE-CREATION is once again organizing the parade, with financial support from the City of Fall River and the local business community.
Executive Director Grace Gerling says the largest children’s holiday parade in New England starts at 1pm from Kennedy Park and will travel down South Main Street past Government Center.
Ms. Gerling says the success of the parade each year is attributable to the contribution of dozens of volunteers from across the community.
The parade will be held rain or shine.
On Sunday RE-Creation will be hosting its annual holiday celebration at its headquarters on Rock Street.
Is the parade still on its going to rain from 1130am till 9pm.
Pretty stupid that after 38 years they can’t include a rain date. Not standing in a rain storm to watch a parade. The 9th however, looks lovely as of now.
