Want to learn more about the Charter Review Question that will appear on the November ballot?
If ‘yes’, then registered voters in Fall River along with the general public are invited to attend a Q & A session at Government Center on Wednesday, September 9th between 6:00 & 8:00 p.m.
According to Charter Review member Kris Bartley, a special panel will convene to educate the public about how changes in the city’s charter will affect city government as a whole.
“Tonight’s session is designed as an educational forum,” he says.
The special panel is made up of the following state officials:
Attorney Margaret Hurley from the Attorney General’s Office; Steven P. Cole, former Charter Chair in Newburyport; Stephen McGoldrick & Marilyn Contreas from the Collins Center for Public Management; UMASS Boston, Attorney Nicholas D. Bernier, McLaughlin & Quinn, LLC and Kris Barley, Fall River Charter Review Group member.
The question on whether to change the city’s charter will appear on the November 3rd Ballot.
