Citizens for Citizens, Inc. (CFC) is offering free tax return filing for income-eligible residents.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program sponsors the free tax preparation service. CFC Executive Director Elizabeth Berube says city residents need to fall at or below a maximum income threshold to become eligible.
Most clients will take part in a two-step process to file taxes.
Ms. Berube says the organization is taking client appointments. Space is limited as February dates have been filled. The last appointments will take place in early April.
