Families and friends are invited to turn out for a carnival at Layfayette Park off Eastern Avenue slated to begin on Thursday, June 16th. Sponsored by the Flint Association, the proceeds are expected to go towards the establishment of a community Center at the fire-ravaged and abandoned Davol School that the Flint Association recently purchased. In all, $9 thousand dollars is needed to remove asbestos in the building before any actual construction can begin. Association President Carlos Cesar has details:
