In honor of overdose victims and their families, a candlelight vigil is being planned at Kennedy Park for tonight, Wednesday, August 31st. The vigil will take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
This event is part of Mayor Correia’s Drug Overdose Awareness week, scheduled to run from today until September 1st. Tomorrow evening, an open house sponsored by the drug awareness group River to Recovery will be held at 140 Ace Street. Time: 5:30 pm. – 7:30 p.m. People interested in learning more about the recovery process are urged to attend.
